I was thrilled when Magan of Mint Magnolia Photography contacted me for a personal branding session . She was in the process of relaunching her website and wanted to update her headshots.
Magan is a wedding photographer in Murfreesboro, TN. We spoke on the phone to go over her goals for her session, to plan out the locations we would use, and also go over wardrobe selections. One of the things I enjoy about my session is planning out details like this ahead of time so we can have fun and create come the day of. Then we can let inspiration continue to grow one we are shooting!
My hair and make-up artist Emily Lombard and I drove from Nashville, TN down to Murfreesboro to start our session day. While I photograph in studio, I’m always up to go on location! We had a great time getting her ready and went out downtown to brave the cold weather. She was a champ! Those hand warmers helped too 😉
I’m not going to lie, photographing another photographer can be nerve wracking, but working with Magan was an absolute dream!! We knew exactly what we wanted and achieved that goal!
I loved how our session went from start to finish. While we were at her reveal and looking over her photos to select the ones she wanted, we laughed together as she said there were “so many good ones to choose from” a good problem to have. Even better; hearing how much her husband and friends loved them, too!
When asked what she loved about her experience, Megan said “All of it! I didn’t feel like I had to do much of anything! I felt pampered and catered to in the best ways! Christy went above and beyond to make sure I had all I needed to prep for the session!“
